Thank you for your letter of March 12, 2008 regarding the traffic congestion and traffic signals on Route 9W at McCarty Avenue and I-787 & Hoffman Avenue in the City of Albany.
I appreciate the time and effort the NYS Department of Transportation spent on studying the problem along this portion of the Route 9W corridor. I shall follow-up with your suggestion to work with the Capital District Transportation Committee to arrange for a comprehensive traffic assessment and planning study for this portion of the roadway.
